Subliminal Persuasion in Hypnosis
The art of hypnosis has been practised for thousands of years across the world in many different and diverse cultures. It has survived long after the cultures that used have vanished.
The only reason for its longevity is due to its effectiveness!
Although hypnosis has existed for thousands of years in one form or another it is only in the latter half of the 20th Century that it truly evolved into the powerful mental tool we know today.
Only once you look past the comical antics of stage hypnotists and see beyond the entertainment value of hypnotic shows will the true power of hypnosis become obvious to you.
Hypnosis has been scientifically proven to be of major benefit to both mind and body when it is performed correctly. In fact, hypnosis is such a powerful tool and so respected by the establishment that medical authorities in many countries, including the United States and the United Kingdom, have officially sanctioned its use as a healing aid.
Clinical hypnotherapy is viewed as a very scientific and wholly verified treatment for many mental and some physical ailments!
It has been the acceptance by the medical fraternities that has allowed hypnosis to flourish. Usually debunkers chip away at such mind tools and make it extremely difficult to further advance the field and incorporate new technologies and techniques into its workings due to lack of true scientific interest.
In addition to this lack of interest many other mind tools are viewed as suspicious, unreliable, useless or even sinister - as is the case with subliminal programming - and therefore never get a fair shot! Hypnosis has been much more fortunate.
With the birth of Neuro-Linguistic Programming, which is now more commonly known by its abbreviation NLP, Hypnosis took a leap forward in its evolution.
NLP techniques, which themselves owe their existence to the work of the American psychiatrist and hypnotist Milton Erikson, when combined with hypnosis allow the art to be practised covertly (without the knowledge of the person being hypnotized).
Covert hypnosis, through the use of powerful yet subtle NLP techniques, gives a person extreme power of influence over almost everyone he or she meets.
This is largely due to the fact that this form of hypnotic influence requires no trance induction sequence as is the case with standard hypnosis. Neither does it follow normal hypnosis procedures that commonly use post hypnotic suggestions in the form of positive statements, commands of affirmations.
Covert hypnosis is used in normal conversation. Subliminal commands are embedded into normal speech through the use of hypnotic language, which relies on pacing, word emphasis and a few other clever, yet subtle, uses of body language and speech intonement!
These hypnotic commands seamlessly merge with the flow of the conversation and go completely unnoticed by the recipient who then finds himself or herself quickly agreeing with just about anything the "hypnotist" is saying!
Covert Hypnosis is such a powerful and effective form of hypnosis that for decades it remained a closely guarded secret amongst only the most successful and knowledgeable hypnotists.
Of course it is possible now to learn how to use this powerful form of subliminal influence even if you are not a trained hypnotherapist.
